Apple has officially locked in July 17 as the launch date for Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition on Apple Silicon Macs. You’ll be able to grab it on the Mac App Store, as well as GOG, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. It’s a big win for Mac gaming—finally bringing one of the most iconic open-world RPGs to Apple’s powerhouse chips, and doing it in style.

The Mac release includes the complete RPG experience, featuring the Phantom Liberty expansion and all major post-launch updates. CD Projekt Red has confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition will be fully compatible with Apple Silicon Macs, starting from the M1 chip onwards.

To ensure optimal performance, the game requires macOS 15.5 or later and at least 16GB of unified memory. It supports MetalFX upscaling for enhanced visuals, head-tracked Spatial Audio with compatible AirPods, and comes with custom “For this Mac” graphic presets tuned for each Apple Silicon model.

Cyberpunk 2077 is making the most of Apple’s latest tech, with support for MetalFX upscaling, AMD FSR, and new features like MetalFX Frame Interpolation and MetalFX Denoising—unlocking up to 120fps on Ultra settings with real-time path tracing. HDR has been tuned for Apple’s XDR displays, and also works with external monitors. It supports gamepads, Magic Mouse, and trackpads, and thanks to cross-progression, you can pick up right where you left off across devices.

With Patch 2.3 set to be previewed during CD Projekt Red’s REDstream, the game’s Mac debut arrives hot on the heels of Assassin's Creed Shadows, making it the second major AAA title to land on macOS this year. Players will once again step into the boots of V, alongside the ever-iconic Johnny Silverhand, played by Keanu Reeves, as they roam the neon-soaked chaos of Night City—now on Apple Silicon.
