Fujifilm has introduced the X-E5 mirrorless digital camera, a compact and lightweight model. It weighs 445 grams, and joins the X Series lineup with several upgrades, including a 40.2MP back-illuminated X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor paired with the high-speed X-Processor 5.
A standout feature is the inclusion of five-axis In-Body Image Stabilisation (IBIS), a first for the X-E series, delivering up to 7 stops of stabilisation at the centre and 6 stops at the periphery for steady shots.
In terms of design, the X-E5 maintains the aesthetic of the X Series while refining its form with a machined aluminium top plate that enhances rigidity and adds a metallic finish. The camera also introduces a Classic Display mode, providing a simplified viewfinder layout with key shooting data placed at the bottom for an uncluttered shooting experience.
Fujifilm has also added a Film Simulation dial with customisable FS1–FS3 positions for saving favourite colour profiles, and a front-mounted control lever to switch view modes, adjust aspect ratios, or modify digital teleconverter magnification with ease.
The X-E5 supports 6.2K/30P video recording with tracking autofocus, and features a tilting rear monitor that flips forward up to 180 degrees for vlogging or selfies. The AI-powered autofocus system can detect and track subjects such as animals, vehicles, insects, and even drones, while its AF predictive algorithm ensures sharp results in motion and low-contrast scenarios.
The Fujifilm X-E5 is priced at Rs.1,59,999 (body only), with the package including a battery and memory card.
