Meta has officially rolled out its Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses in India, priced between ₹29,900 and ₹35,700 depending on the variant. Developed in collaboration with EssilorLuxottica, the AI-powered wearables are now hitting shelves in multiple designs, including the freshly introduced Skyler frame.

The Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses feature a 12MP camera capable of snapping photos and recording 1080p videos up to one minute long. You can also stream live to Facebook or Instagram. For audio, the glasses are fitted with open-ear speakers that promise clear sound, supported by five built-in microphones to enhance voice pickup. They're also functional as everyday wearables — handling calls and music playback.

Design-wise, the range includes timeless classics like the Wayfarer and the new Skyler frame, with options for sun, clear, or prescription lenses. The included charging case offers extended use, delivering up to 36 hours of battery life and doubling as a portable power bank, as per Meta.

At the heart of the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses lies Meta AI, activated by “Hey Meta.” This voice-first assistant can fetch real-time answers, manage calls, stream tracks, and even dish out cooking guidance—all without reaching for a screen. A standout party trick? On-the-go language translation across English, French, Italian, and Spanish.

Pair the glasses with the Meta View app, and you unlock extras like conversation logs and in-app photo editing. Meta reportedly plans software updates to support hands-free messaging and calls via WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger, along with music streaming through Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and Shazam.
