Motorola G96 5G features 3D curved pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate

Motorola has introduced the Moto G96 5G, targeting the under-₹20,000 smartphone segment with a well-rounded spec sheet. The device features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ 10-bit 3D curved pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 1,600 nits. The screen supports water touch technology and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Under the hood, it’s powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, paired with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. For photography, the Moto G96 5G features a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP Sony Lytia LYT-700C main sensor with OIS, alongside an 8MP ultra-wide camera. 

On the front, the Moto G96 5G features a 32MP selfie camera and runs Motorola’s custom Hello UI based on Android 15. The device is confirmed to receive one major OS update and three years of security patches. 

In terms of connectivity, the G96 5G supports dual nano SIM, 5G, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Audio is handled by dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and the phone weighs 178.1g. Powering the phone is a 5,500mAh battery with support for 33W wired TurboPower charging, with the charger included in the box. The phone also includes an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

The back panel features a vegan leather finish, and the phone comes in four Pantone-curated colours — Ashleigh Blue, Greener Pastures, Cattleya Orchid, and Dresden Blue. The Moto G96 5G comes in two storage variants – ₹17,999 for the 8GB+128GB model and ₹19,999 for the 8GB+256GB version.
