Qualcomm has just given us a glimpse into the future of smart, connected vehicles in India, with its first-ever Snapdragon for India Auto Day event. It showcased Snapdragon Digital Chassis, a modular platform that’s the brain behind modern vehicles—from infotainment systems to advanced driver assistance (ADAS) and cloud-connected services.

The company laid out its India-first suite, including Snapdragon Cockpit, Ride, Ride Flex, Auto Connectivity, and Car-to-Cloud platforms—each tuned for India’s unique driving conditions like dense traffic, unpredictable roadways, and the need for robust connectivity in the middle of nowhere.

Qualcomm’s automotive footprint in India is already sizeable. Its platforms are baked into vehicles from Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, Tata Motors, Hero MotoCorp, Royal Enfield, and Ultraviolette. Snapdragon platforms have powered infotainment and connectivity in Maruti models since 2022, and will continue to do so in upcoming EVs like the e-Vitara.

Mahindra’s BE.6 and XUV.e9 were also in the spotlight, featuring experimental integrations like RAiDiO.FYI and Melodic Drive—two audio-driven experiences built on Qualcomm’s AI and sensing chops.

And, it’s not only for four wheels. With a growing focus on two-wheelers, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Ride platform now supports 4G/5G, GPS, Bluetooth, anti-theft alerts, roadside assistance, and EV charging notifications, making smart mobility more accessible for India’s massive two-wheeler audience.

From family hatchbacks to electric bikes, Qualcomm is positioning itself as the digital backbone of India’s evolving mobility landscape. Whether you're driving, riding, or parked and streaming, chances are a Snapdragon chip is quietly doing the work.
