Samsung has introduced the Galaxy M36 5G as the newest addition to its M-series lineup in India. This mid-range device comes preloaded with One UI 7, built on Android 15, and Samsung has committed to providing six years of security patches along with six major Android version updates.
On the display front, the Galaxy M36 5G sports a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel, offering a Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2340 pixels) and a 120Hz refresh rate for fluid scrolling and animations. For durability, the screen is shielded with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Plus, helping it withstand daily wear and tear.
Powering the device is Samsung’s in-house Exynos 1380 chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM for multitasking and up to 256GB of internal storage for apps, photos, and media files. For photography, the Galaxy M36 5G comes equipped with a triple rear camera setup, headlined by a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) for steadier shots. Accompanying it is an 8MP ultra-wide lens for capturing broader scenes and a 2MP macro camera for close-up detail shots.
For selfies and video calls, there’s a 13MP front-facing camera. Both the rear and front cameras are capable of recording videos in 4K resolution, giving users higher-quality footage from either side.
The Galaxy M36 5G also brings a range of AI-powered photo editing features, like Object Eraser for removing unwanted elements, Image Clipper for easy cutouts, and Edit Suggestions that offer smart touch-ups based on the image content. Additionally, it comes with Google’s Circle-to-Search and Samsung’s own AI Select tool for more intuitive interactions.
Samsung has included Knox Vault, which adds an extra layer of protection for sensitive data. Powering the phone is a 5,000mAh battery, backed by 25W fast charging support for quicker top-ups. Despite the large battery, the device maintains a slim 7.7mm profile, keeping the design sleek and manageable.
Samsung Galaxy M36 5G starts at Rs. 16,499.
