Samsung has unveiled their latest Galaxy S-series smartphones. With the Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24, Samsung has unveiled new generative AI experiences with features like intelligent text and call translations with on-device AI, while also deploying Google’s Gemini Pro and Imagen 2 on Vertex AI via the cloud for online services.
While Chat Assist helps you to have perfect conversations, AI built into Samsung Keyboard can translate messages in real-time in 13 languages. Then there are features like Circle to Search, which triggers a search based on visuals within the drawn circle. All these are being enabled by the ProVisual Engine, a comprehensive suite of AI-powered tools. The new devices boast enhanced data protection with end-to-end encryption across connected devices.
The Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 feature a streamlined one-mass design with a seamless connection between the device’s rear cover and side frame. The Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 are available in Onyx Black, Marble Gray, Cobalt Violet and Amber Yellow. Galaxy S24 is the first Galaxy S series device to be designed with recycled steel and Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU).
The S24+ uses a 6.7-inch QHD+ display while the S24 comes with an FHD+ screen, with both Dynamic AMOLED displays offering 1-120 Hz adaptive refresh rates. On the camera front, both the devices offer a triple-camera setup including a 50MP main camera (wide-angle with OIS) with 12MP ultra-wide and 10MP telephoto cameras completing the rear module. The front camera is a 12MP unit. The S24+ houses 12GB RAM with 512GB and 256GB storage options, while the S24 comes with 8GB RAM with 512GB, 256GB, and 128GB storage variants. The devices are powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform in select markets.
Samsung offers seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates for the new devices. The S24+ houses a 4900mAh battery, while the S24 is powered by a 4000mAh cell. The Galaxy S24+ prices start at ₹99,999 (256GB), while the Galaxy S24 price tag starts at ₹79,999 (256GB). The S24+ 512GB variant is priced at ₹109,999, while the 512GB variant of the S24 carries a price tag of ₹89,999.
