Samsung has introduced what it’s calling its most affordable AI-powered laptop to date, the Galaxy Book5. Powered by Intel’s latest Core Ultra processors, it brings AI smarts to a wider audience with a starting price of Rs. 77,990.
The Galaxy Book5 sports a 15.6-inch Full HD screen with an anti-glare finish. Designed slimmer and lighter than the previous generation, it aims to deliver easy portability with enough power for day-to-day performance.
Inside, the Galaxy Book5 comes with Intel Core Ultra 5 and Ultra 7 processors, backed by a 12 TOPS NPU to handle AI tasks. Samsung says the new model delivers up to 38% better graphics performance than the Galaxy Book4, making it a stronger all-rounder for work and play.
On the software side, Samsung has put in a host of AI-powered tools to make everyday tasks easier. AI Photo Remaster can upgrade image quality, while AI Select enables quick searches anywhere on screen with a single click. You also get Copilot with a dedicated hot key for instant assistance, Circle to Search on PC, and Transcript Assist for automatically generating meeting notes and transcripts.
Powering it is a 61.2Wh battery that offers up to 19 hours of video playback, as per Samsung. As part of the Galaxy Connected Experience, you can switch between devices with features like Multi-Control, Second Screen, and Quick Share.
