Sennheiser has unveiled a fresh treat for audiophiles with the new HD 505 Copper Edition, priced at ₹27,990. The open-back headphones are aimed at those ready to graduate from entry-level cans and craving a more refined sonic experience.

Inside it features a custom-built 120-ohm transducer crafted at Sennheiser’s Tullamore facility in Ireland. With a frequency response range of 12Hz to 38,500Hz and total harmonic distortion kept under 0.2%, it promises detail without distortion. As per Sennheiser, the angled drivers are tuned to replicate the spatial charm of nearfield speakers, placing the listener in the sweet spot of a front-row soundstage.

Drawing inspiration from the classic HD 500 series, the Sennheiser HD 505 brings a lightweight design to the table, tipping the scales at 237 grams. It features an easy-wear fit with a synthetic leather headband and metal mesh over the earcups.

Connectivity-wise, it includes a detachable 1.8m cable with a 3.5mm jack, bundled with a 6.3mm adapter for everything from headphone amps to A/V receivers. And, for those who love to tinker or future-proof their gear, its modular design supports swappable cables and earpads.
