Brace yourself, the Kia EV6 has arrived in India but only in limited numbers for now. The new EV6 is globally available in two powertrain options, a 58kWh battery pack and the larger 77.4kWh unit. However, the Indian-spec model is only available with the 77.4kWh battery pack and a range of approximately 528km with Kia offering the EV6 in rear-wheel-drive, single-motor, and all-wheel-drive, dual-motor layouts.

Equipped with the bigger battery pack, the Indian rear-wheel-drive model produces 229hp and 350Nm while the all-wheel-drive variant produces 325hp and 605Nm of peak torque. For charging, the EV6 supports up to a whopping 350kW DC charging, which can juice up the battery from 10-80% in just 18 minutes. There's also a 50kW fast charger, which takes the battery to the same level in about 73 minutes. For home charging though, Kia will be offering a standard 22kW wall box charger.

As you expect from Kia, the EV6 comes equipped with all the bells and whistles, from features like ventilated front seats, wireless charger, rain-sensing wipers, to a host of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

Prices starting at ₹59.95 lakh, the EV6 takes on Hyundai's Ioniq 5. Due to huge global demand for the EV6 and supply constraints, only 100 units will be available initially. We’ve also taken one for a spin and put our thoughts into the Kia EV6 first drive review.
