Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi Pad 2 in India, featuring a mix of performance and display features. It sports an 11-inch IPS screen with a 2560 x 1600 resolution, adaptive refresh rate up to 90Hz, and peak brightness of 600 nits.
Under the hood, the tablet is powered by the MediaTek Helio G100-Ultra chipset coupled with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It comes with up to 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, offering enough room for apps, media, and multitasking. On the software front, the Redmi Pad 2 runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2, based on Android 15, and includes AI-powered tools like Circle to Search and Gemini integration.
In the camera department, the Redmi Pad 2 features an 8MP rear camera, supporting 1080p and 720p video recording at 30fps. On the front, it houses a 5MP camera, also capable of recording videos in 1080p and 720p at 30fps.
The tablet weighs 510 grams and is backed by a 9000mAh battery, supporting 18W fast charging. It comes with a 15W charger in the box and charges via a USB Type-C port with USB 2.0 support. For connectivity, the device includes Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, and audio codec support for SBC, AAC, and LDAC. It’s also IPv6 compatible, ensuring broader internet protocol support.
The Redmi Pad 2 is offered in both Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + Cellular variants. The Wi-Fi-only version includes 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, priced at Rs. 13,999. For users who need mobile connectivity, the Wi-Fi + Cellular model comes in two options – 6GB RAM + 128GB storage at Rs. 15,999, and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage at Rs. 17,999. The tablet is available in two colours — Graphite Grey and Sky Blue.
For the tablet are two accessories – the Redmi Smart Pen, priced at ₹3,999, and the Redmi Pad 2 Cover, available for ₹1,299.
