Amazon Fire TV Streaming Trends reveals that comedy was the most searched genre by Indians

But what’s the spice of life?

When it comes to consuming content, each one has a personal preference, some fancy romantic flicks while some are suckers for horror and some stick to cartoons even in adulthood. Context, you wonder? A recent Amazon Fire TV Streaming Trends Report revealed which genres were liked the most by Indians.

Well, to begin with, it certainly isn’t romance but Comedy is the most streamed genre in India, followed by Horror and Cartoons. Interestingly, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma made it to the top of the search list on Fire TV for the second year in a row, followed by Anupamaa (it does fall in comedy, you know if you know) and Indian Idol (this too, if you find Anu Malik judging the auditions).

The trend report also revealed that Indian households spent four hours every day binge-watching and streaming entertainment content. When it comes to movies, Pushpa: The Rise was the most searched movie on Fire TV, followed by Brahmāstra and The Kashmir Files. Shocking?
