AI-powered Samsung Galaxy Book 5 series launched in India

Samsung has unveiled its latest AI-driven PC lineup, introducing the Galaxy Book5 Pro, Galaxy Book5 Pro 360, and Galaxy Book5 360. The new AI-powered laptops integrate Galaxy AI with Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC experience. 

Marking the Galaxy Book series’ first venture into AI, the lineup includes a neural processing unit (NPU) for AI-based computing. The Galaxy Book5 series comes equipped with on-device Microsoft Copilot+ assistance, accessible via a dedicated key for instant AI-powered support. Integrated with Windows 11 and Microsoft’s AI-enhanced Copilot+ experience, it provides smart assistance for tasks like writing, research, scheduling, and presentations.

Notable Galaxy AI features include AI Select, which functions similarly to Circle to Search on Galaxy smartphones, letting you search and extract information with a single click. Additionally, Photo Remaster leverages AI to enhance image clarity and sharpness.

Under the hood, the Galaxy Book5 series is powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors, featuring NPUs capable of up to 47 TOPS. Samsung says the new chips deliver a 17% boost in GPU performance and a 16% increase in single-core CPU performance over the previous generation. Thanks to Lunar Lake’s redesigned CPU-GPU architecture, an upgraded NPU, and the next-gen Battlemage GPU, AI computing power gets a 3x boost, while overall SoC power consumption drops by 40% compared to its predecessor.

The Galaxy Book5 series also promises a significant battery upgrade, offering up to 25 hours of runtime on a single charge. With super-fast charging, the Galaxy Book5 Pro can reach 41% battery in just 30 minutes, according to Samsung.

The Pro models in the lineup feature Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays with 3K resolution, a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and Vision Booster tech. Plus, it features a Quad Speaker setup with Dolby Atmos. 

The Galaxy Book5 series enhances productivity with Multi-Device Connectivity, integrating features like Phone Link, Quick Share, Multi-Control, and Second Screen. These tools allow interaction between Galaxy smartphones, tablets, and the new AI-powered PCs.

Pricing for the lineup starts at ₹1,14,990 for the Galaxy Book5 360, and the Galaxy Book5 Pro, starts at ₹1,49,990. The Galaxy Book5 Pro 360, positioned as the premium offering, is priced at ₹1,63,990.
