AMD opens its largest design centre in India

Made in India, quite literally!

AMD has opened AMD Technostar campus, its largest worldwide design centre in Bengaluru, showcasing a significant step in its dedication to broadening research, development, and engineering ventures in India. The campus aims to accommodate nearly 3,000 AMD engineers in the future, concentrating on advancing semiconductor technology such as 3D stacking, artificial intelligence and machine learning.

The Technostar campus represents a fraction of the company's $400 million investment in India scheduled over the next five years, as unveiled at Semicon India 2023. This 500,000-square-foot campus is dedicated to spearheading product development across a spectrum of high-performance CPUs for data centres and PCs, GPUs for data centres and gaming, and adaptive SoCs and FPGAs for embedded devices.

Imbued with Indian artistry and craftsmanship, the campus boasts expansive office spaces that embrace huddle areas and conference rooms. The site encompasses R&D laboratories spread across 60,000 square feet and a spacious demo centre aimed at providing visitors with hands-on experiences of AMD's diverse array of products and solutions.
