AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D desktop processor is built for gamers

Powered by Zen 5 architecture and second-generation 3D V-Cache tech!

AMD has rolled out its new Ryzen 7 9800X3D desktop processor, designed to boost performance for gamers. Built on AMD’s Zen 5 architecture, this chip features 2nd Gen AMD 3D V-Cache tech, which aims to improve memory management and enhance gaming experiences.

The AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor packs 8 cores and 16 threads, with a base clock speed of 4.7 GHz that can boost up to 5.2 GHz. It features a 64MB cache memory, placed beneath the core complex die (CCD) to optimise cooling and support high clock speeds. And, a hearty 120W TDP and 104MB of total cache provide the processor with the power it needs to perform. AMD claims this design offers around 8% better gaming performance than its previous generation and up to 20% faster performance than similar processors on the market.

As the brand's first fully unlocked X3D processor, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D also supports extreme overclocking. AMD suggests you can expect an average 8% increase in frames per second (FPS) over earlier models, with some games, like Star Wars Outlaws, showing even greater improvements. It is priced at $479 (approx Rs.40,200).
