BenQ’s W series projectors give you the big screen cinema vibe at home

Make your home cinema truly cinematic

BenQ is aiming to transform your living room into a proper picture palace with the Indian debut of its latest high-end home cinema projectors, the W5850 and W4100i, boasting advanced Solid-State Illumination (SSI) for long-lasting brightness and BenQ’s know-how in colour accuracy. If you're serious about movies and immersive entertainment, these new W Series models are worth a look.

The BenQ W5850 is designed for those with dedicated darkroom home theatres who crave a truly massive screen. It can throw a 200-inch image with what BenQ calls ultra-precise colour and contrast. Thanks to its 2600-lumen blue core laser light source, digital four-way lens shift, and 1.6x motorised zoom, it can project a huge 180-inch screen from just 4 metres away. This projector is all about scale and clarity for the ultimate movie night.

For more everyday entertainment in brighter living spaces, there's the BenQ W4100i. This model boasts 3200 ANSI lumens of brightness from its 4-LED light source and comes with built-in Android TV for easy access to streaming services. A standout feature here is its AI Cinema Mode, which intelligently adapts the visual performance in real-time based on the content you're watching and your room's ambient lighting conditions.

Both projectors promise top-tier picture quality, featuring true 4K UHD resolution (that's 8.3 million pixels, folks) and BenQ’s CinematicColor technology for 100% DCI-P3 colour coverage. They also support HDR-PRO with compatibility for HDR10+ and HLG, plus a Local Contrast Enhancer to make those images pop. For the audio side, there's Dolby Atmos pass-through, eARC for simplified connections to sound systems, and 7.1 surround sound compatibility. Gamers will be pleased with a low latency of 17.9ms.

The BenQ W5850 projector is priced at Rs 7,00,000, while the W4100i projector comes in at Rs 4,00,000. Both are available from May 2025 onwards through leading Home AVSI partners across India.
