Samsung’s 2025 Smart TVs are getting a smarter Bixby with the new update. The updated voice assistant now responds more naturally to speech, making it easier to control your TV, find content, or manage smart home devices—all without needing to type or scroll through menus.
Samsung’s upgraded Bixby assistant now works with Click to Search, letting you ask about actors, shows, or topics while you watch live TV, cable, or Samsung TV Plus—no need to pause. It also handles everyday questions like recipe ideas or movie picks by pulling info from the web.
As per Samsung, the update makes Bixby better at understanding what you mean, so you can ask things like “How tall is Mount Everest?” or get playlist suggestions. It can even tell you more about what’s currently playing on screen.
Plus, your Samsung TV can now double as a smart home hub, according to Samsung. With voice commands, you can control SmartThings-connected devices—like telling it to “Turn off the oven” or “Set the AC to 25 degrees.”
Samsung is rolling out a smarter Bixby to its 2025 Smart TVs—starting with the Neo QLED, OLED, The Frame, and QLED models in the US. These TVs now serve as control hubs for connected devices, with all interactions protected by Samsung Knox. Importantly, no voice data is saved locally or in the cloud. The rollout begins in the US.
