BMW Motorrad India has launched the new BMW C 400 GT in India. The premium midsize scooter will be available as a completely built-up unit (CBU) priced for ₹11,50,000 (introductory ex-showroom.
The C 400 GT comes in the standard Blackstorm Metallic variant, featuring a black seat, black rims, and black front brake calipers. Additionally, the new Exclusive model variant introduces a Diamond White Metallic finish with gold rims, matching accents, and a black seat with an embroidered emblem. This version also includes a slightly tinted windshield, gold front brake calipers, BMW logo projection floor lighting, and stainless-steel footboard inserts.
The updated BMW C 400 GT now features a 10.25-inch TFT display as standard, integrated with Connectivity Pro. A key addition is the charging cradle in the left storage compartment, designed for secure smartphone placement and charging. Riders still have access to 12V and USB ports, with the latest update replacing the previous USB-A port with a USB-C connection.
The scooter’s LED front headlight includes standard daytime running lights, while the newly adjustable windscreen provides improved protection against wind and rain. For improved accessibility, the scooter's seat height has been adjusted from 765mm to 775mm, offering a more balanced riding position. BMW says the Ride-by-Wire electronic throttle ensures precise and responsive acceleration, and the standard Keyless Ride system allows for easy start-up without the need for a physical key.

The BMW C 400 GT is powered by a water-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-stroke engine with a 350cc displacement, delivering 34 hp (25 kW) at 7500 rpm and 35 Nm of torque at 5750 rpm. Power is managed through a continuously variable CVT transmission and a rigid powerset swingarm. The scooter meets EU-5+ emission standards.
For safety, the BMW C 400 GT comes standard with BMW Motorrad ABS Pro. The Dynamic Brake Control (DBC) system, integrated with ABS Pro, promises precise braking response and optimal deceleration. Additional rider aids include Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) for improved grip and Engine Drag Torque Control (MSR) to prevent rear-wheel slip during sudden deceleration.
Storage capacity on the BMW C 400 GT has been notably improved. The right storage compartment now offers 4.5 litres of space, while adjustments to the seat tub and shell, along with the repositioning of the control unit and underseat lighting, have expanded the underseat storage to 37.6 litres. These updates provide greater practicality for carrying everyday essentials.
