BMW X4 M40i debuts in India, to be sold in limited units

The BMW has launched the first-ever X4 M40i in India. The car will be available in limited units exclusively from BMW online shop and sold as a Completely Built-Up (CBU) unit.

Available in Brooklyn Grey and Black Sapphire metallic paintworks, the activity coupe’s interiors have been draped in standard Vernasca leather in Black and Tacora Red options. Designed to turn heads, the BMW X4 M40i’s Dark BMW M kidney grille with chrome frame, double kidney bars in high-gloss black and M logo shows off the BMW aesthetics. The M Shadow Line lights offer a dark tint around the headlamps. Towards the rear, the X4 M40i features free-form tailpipe trims in black chrome.  Red-high gloss brake callipers provide a distinct look to the M Sport brakes.

The interior presents a sporty ambience with an ergonomic cockpit design for a focused driving experience. The M interior trim finished in carbon fibre ensures an exclusive motorsport atmosphere in the cockpit. Driver and front passenger enjoy the superior flair of a premium SAC with Sports Seats complete with electrical adjustment options and memory function. The M Seat belts add to the powerful look. Ambient Lighting and Welcome Light Carpet add to the dazzling style. The modern cockpit concept BMW Live Cockpit Professional includes 3D Navigation, a 12.3-inch digital information display behind the steering wheel, a 12.3-inch Control Display and BMW Head-up Display. BMW Virtual Assistant and BMW Gesture Control make communication flawless while a Harman Kardon Surround Sound System with 16 speakers provides immersive surround sound.

Under the hood is a 3.0-liter BMW M TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder petrol engine that produces 360hp of maximum power and a peak torque of 500 Nm at 1,900 – 5,000 rpm. The engine propels the car from 0-100 km/hr in 4.9 seconds with a top speed of 250 km/hr. The 48-volt mild hybrid technology ensures better driving performance with lower fuel consumption and increased driving comfort. The drive train is linked to an 8-speed Steptronic Automatic transmission that collaborates perfectly with the engine for full power and efficiency. Steering wheel paddle shifters offer that extra control when needed.

BMW xDrive, the intelligent all-wheel drive technology ensures maximum traction, agility and vehicle stability. The standard M Sport differential enhances traction and cornering while the BMW Performance Control System increases the stability by targeted braking of the wheels.

The first-ever BMW X4 M40i is available at an ex-showroom price of ₹96,20,000.
