Canva gets a significant upgrade with the power of generative AI

Integrates new workplace tools, Affinity suite and more

Canva has unveiled its most advanced version at the Canva Create 2024, hosted to celebrate a decade in existence. The popular design platform now adds new products and features to its collaborative suite, incorporating the power of generative AI and more workplace integration tools.

The new workplace tools make it easy to switch between projects, access team resources, locate and apply brand guidelines, and share and collaborate on designs across the organisation. The homepage now includes a new quick action toolbar for faster access to popular features like one-click background remover and there are even more accessibility features built into the platform with an emphasis on collaboration.

The newly announced Canva Enterprise includes a centralised admin console for managing teams and permissions with the ability to create multiple teams. It comes with enterprise-level security features including ISO, SCIM, and SSO and dedicated support for design, onboarding, training, and the development of custom integrations. The new offering includes Canva Courses, a module that helps in creating and accessing lessons and assessing the team’s learning progress. Furthermore, the platform now offers a set of AI-enabled tools, templates, and apps for marketing, sales, HR, and creative teams under Canva Work Kits.

The latest release of Canva also strengthens Magic Studio’s AI tools and adds features like Text to Graphic. Now it’s easier to apply the style of any design to your creations with one click. With the upgraded Magic Design, you can create compelling designs by describing your requirements and letting its generative AI technology complete the task for you. The new platform also brings other tools such as Magic Write and Apps Marketplace while offering comprehensive upgrades to the video editor.

The new Canva experience will be open to all from August while the first one million users will get to test it out via a secret portal hidden in their Canva homepage. So we guess, it’s time for a treasure hunt.
