Casio’s latest ring watch features an LCD screen

In classic Casio fashion!

Casio's latest digital ring watch, the CRW-001-1JR, puts time literally at your fingertips. It comes with a tiny case and stainless steel bezels and features a six-segment LCD screen that displays hours, minutes, seconds, dates, dual time and stopwatch functions. Plus, it has three physical buttons that let you check the date, switch to a different time zone, or use the stopwatch function.

The screen features a light source for checking the time in the dark. And, since there’s no speaker, the tiny watch uses a flashing screen to alert you when the alarm goes off. Plus, the Casio ring watch also doesn’t come with any fitness tracking features, so don’t expect sleep tracking, heart rate monitoring, or blood oxygen readings.

Casio also confirms that the watch is waterproof. Powered by a single battery, this waterproof watch, as per Casio, features a two-year battery life, and when it’s time for a change, the battery is replaceable. The CRW-001-1JR is a US size 10.5 by default, but if your fingers are smaller—Casio includes a couple of spacers to help you get a better fit.

This ring watch is part of Casio’s 50th-anniversary celebration and it will hit Japan in December, priced at ¥19,800 (approx. ₹10,700)
