Chromebook CM14 is Asus’s latest budget laptop

Light purse isn’t (necessarily) a curse!

Asus has introduced the Asus Chromebook CM14, a budget-friendly laptop that caters to both educational and office needs. The Chromebook is powered by the MediaTek Kompanio 520 processor and an Arm Mali G52 MC2 GPU. The laptop is paired with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of eMMC storage. On the software front, the Asus Chromebook CM14 runs on ChromeOS. Plus, it also supports Android and Linux applications.

Featuring a 14-inch 16:9 display, the Chromebook CM14’s LCD panel has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, providing Full HD quality. And, with a 60Hz refresh rate, you can expect smooth visuals too. Additionally, the display covers 45% of the NTSC colour gamut and offers a peak brightness level of 220 nits.

The Asus Chromebook CM14 features a spill-resistant chiclet keyboard. The keyboard has a 1.5mm key travel. In terms of durability, the laptop's body complies with MIL-STD 810H US military standards.

For wireless connectivity, the Chromebook CM14 is equipped with WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3. The device offers two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C ports that support power delivery and display output. Additionally, it includes a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a MicroSD card reader.

The Chromebook CM14 also comes equipped with a 720p HD webcam that features a privacy shutter. To ensure data security, the device comes with a Titan C security chip and a Kensington nano security slot. Powering the laptop is a 42 Whr battery, supported by 45W charging for charging. The Asus Chromebook CM14 comes with a price of ₹26,990.
