Computex 2025: Asus ROG Strix Ace XG248QSG is a 610Hz refresh rate monitor

A gaming monitor built for serious speed demons

Asus has unveiled the ROG Strix Ace XG248QSG. Touted as the brand’s fastest display to date, this 24.1-inch screen hits a 610Hz refresh rate, making it a dream for esports players and competitive gamers who live for twitch-fast precision.

Under the hood, it has a Full HD Super TN panel with a native 600Hz refresh rate that gets a slight boost to 610Hz when overclocked. The response time, Asus says, is 0.1ms, perfect for shaving milliseconds off your reaction time. You’ll also get selectable refresh modes at 240Hz and 480Hz, depending on your needs, and the panel features 90% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut.

Another standout feature of the ROG Strix Ace XG248QSG is its support for Extreme Low Motion Blur 2 (ELMB 2), which helps keep visuals sharp even in the heat of battle. Asus claims this panel is up to 65% brighter than the competition, promising clearer visuals during high-speed gameplay. Throw in some AI-powered enhancements — designed to subtly tip the odds in your favour — and this monitor starts to look like a proper weapon in any competitive setup.

On the connectivity front, you get the essentials covered — DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The display is mounted on a newly designed Ergo Stand, which Asus says is 30% more compact than previous XGS models. It doesn’t skimp on adjustability either, offering a generous 160mm height range and up to 35 degrees of backwards tilt.

As of now, Asus hasn’t shared the pricing or release details for the Strix Ace XG248QSG. Circle back here to know more.
