DJI has unveiled the Osmo Nano, its tiniest action camera yet, designed to be compact and ultralight. Despite its compact form factor, it features the same 1/1.3-inch sensor, 13.5 stops of dynamic range, and 4K at 120fps recording found in DJI’s flagship Osmo Action 5 Pro. The Nano requires its included Modular Vision Dock if you want a display or extended battery life.
The Osmo Nano is pill-shaped, just 57mm long, and weighs 52 grams. Even with the touchscreen dock attached, which increases the total weight to 124 grams, it remains far lighter than the 146-gram Osmo Action 5 Pro.
It offers 55–60 minutes of 4K/30fps recording or up to 90 minutes at 1080p/24fps on a single charge. Attaching the dock extends battery life to 125–135 minutes at 4K/30fps and up to 200 minutes at 1080p/24fps. The camera itself is waterproof up to 10 meters, while the dock, which doubles as a wireless remote with live video preview, has a limited IPX4 splash-resistance rating.
For audio, the Nano supports two wireless microphones without a receiver. Hands-free operation is possible by tapping the camera or even nodding your head when it’s mounted on a hat or helmet. There’s also a pre-record mode that captures footage just before you hit record, though using it may slightly reduce battery life.
The Osmo Nano with 64GB of built-in storage starts at $309 (approx. Rs. 27,400).
