Dolby Vision 2 arrives to push TVs beyond HDR

With a more powerful image engine and features like Content Intelligence!

Dolby has announced Vision 2, its next-generation picture technology built to maximise the capabilities of today’s TVs. According to Dolby, Vision 2 runs on a new, more powerful image engine that pairs with its vast content ecosystem. The upgrade debuts Content Intelligence, a suite of AI-driven tools that adapts picture quality to both the type of content on screen and the surrounding environment. Hisense will be the first brand to integrate it, starting with its RGB-MiniLED models.

Dolby Vision 2’s Content Intelligence also adds advanced picture optimisation designed to adapt across scenarios. As per Dolby, Precision Black sharpens dark scenes without losing creative intent, while Light Sense adjusts visuals in real time based on ambient lighting.

For fans of fast action, Sports and Gaming Optimisation brings smoother motion and better clarity with white point tweaks and refined motion control. Taking it further, Authentic Motion introduces creative-driven motion handling, reducing judder and making scenes feel more cinematic.

The technology will be available in two tiers – Dolby Vision 2 Max, built for flagship TVs with premium capabilities, and Dolby Vision 2, which brings advanced picture improvements to mainstream sets through the new Dolby Image Engine and Content Intelligence.

Support is lined up, with Hisense integrating it into its RGB-MiniLED TVs and CANAL+ adopting it to elevate its movies, series, and live sports broadcasts.
