Elevate is Honda’s first midsize SUV in India!

Making other SUVs green with envy (and brown, and black)?

Honda has made a grand entry into the midsize SUV segment with the new Honda Elevate. At the heart of the Elevate lies a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder engine, strutting its stuff just like its City sibling. With 119bhp under the hood and a 145Nm of torque, this SUV has the same stuff as the Honda City.

You can choose your own adventure with the Honda Elevate's 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine that comes in two transmission options to suit your driving style. Feeling manual? Choose the thrill of shifting gears with the 6-speed manual. Prefer to let the car take control? Glide with the 7-speed CVT automatic.

Now, while the Elevate might not have a hybrid option up its sleeve just yet, Honda has fine-tuned this powertrain for optimal efficiency. They say they’ve focused on delivering a driving experience that maximizes fuel economy without compromising on performance.

As for looks, the Honda Elevate is developed on the grand concept of ‘Urban Freestyler’. It boasts a large grille that displays the Honda logo. Sleeker LED headlamps and tail lamps add a touch of sophistication, while chrome accents adorn the curves. It rolls on 16in multi-spoke alloy wheels that complement its flared wheel arches.  And there are practical yet stylish roof rails and the sleek shark-fin antenna for that extra oomph to its overall appeal.

The Elevate measures a length of 4.3 meters, a width of nearly 1.8 meters, and stands tall at 1.65 meters. With a ground clearance of 220mm and a wheelbase of 2.65 meters, it's in the same league as the Hyundai Creta and the Volkswagen Taigun.

Step inside and you’ll see the interior colour scheme between luxurious brown and black. The aim is to provide a clutter-free and inviting ambience that complements the SUV's strong character. With a cargo space of 458 litres, you'll have plenty of room to accommodate all your adventures.

The 7in high-definition full-colour TFT multi-information display takes centre stage. Set against a black background, this display showcases essential information like fuel consumption, trip meter, outside temperature, G-Meter, and a clock. It's all presented in crisp white light, making it easy to read and customize to your liking. From meter setup to keyless access and lighting preferences, the Elevate puts you in control.

The car also boasts a new floating-type 10.25in In-Plane Switching (IPS) high-definition LCD touch-screen display audio system. With Optical Clear Adhesive (OCA) technology, this system ensures high contrast and optimal visibility. You can also connect your smartphone via wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Weblink, Bluetooth, or USB. The price is still shrouded in mystery so come back here to know when it's revealed!
