Fujifilm has pulled the wraps off its latest GFX series addition – the GFX100RF. Breaking new ground, this is the first GFX camera to come with a built-in lens, ditching the interchangeable glass for an all-in-one approach. Despite having a medium format sensor, it keeps things refreshingly lightweight at 735g (with battery and memory card), making it the most featherweight GFX model to date, according to Fuji.
It pairs a 102MP CMOS sensor with a 35mm f/4.0 lens, offering a 28mm equivalent focal length. And, if you need a tighter crop, built-in digital magnification adds 45mm, 63mm, and 80mm options (equivalent to 36mm, 50mm, and 63mm), making it a solid pick for street photography and portraits.
Under the hood, the medium format sensor teams up with Fuji’s X-Processor 5, delivering AI-powered subject recognition that locks onto people, pets, and vehicles. Video shooters get 4K/30fps recording in 4:2:2 10-bit colour, while the mechanical shutter tops out at 6fps for stills.
Fuji has gone for a leaf shutter instead of a focal plane one, keeping the GFX100RF’s dimensions in check. That does mean no in-body image stabilisation, but what you do get is a built-in four-stop ND filter and Fuji’s signature lift-and-twist ISO/shutter speed command dial for a tactile shooting experience. Storage-wise, there’s room for two UHS-II SD cards.

At the back, a dedicated dial lets you flick between nine different aspect ratios—ideal for replicating the look of classic film formats. The 5.76 million-dot EVF has a Surround View mode, overlaying semi-transparent framing guides for easier composition. Below it sits a tilting 2.1 million-dot LCD, redesigned with an onscreen interface that matches its native 3:2 aspect ratio.
The GFX100RF is set to land in black and silver finishes, with an aluminium top plate and a weather-resistant build—provided you slap on the included PRF-49 protective filter.
The Fujifilm GFX100RF is priced at $4900 (approx. ₹4,21,680).
