This Christmas, G-Shock is teaming up with KFC to honor one of Japan’s quirkiest holiday traditions. What started as a clever “Kentucky for Christmas” campaign in the 1970s has made KFC as much a part of Japan’s festive season as tinsel and twinkling lights. To celebrate, G-Shock has given its GA-2100 a finger-lickin’ makeover, decking it out in bold red with subtle KFC branding. It’s tough, iconic, and ready to clock in some serious festive style points!
As a G-Shock, it packs all the expected toughness. You’ll get carbon core guard tech, shock resistance, and 200-metre water resistance. Add to that alarms, countdown timers, and enough durability to shrug off a rogue bucket spill, making it as functional as it is festive.

But, there’s a twist –you can’t actually buy this watch — not for all the fried chicken in the world. Instead, G-Shock and KFC are dishing them out for free, but only to an elite few. There are just 11 watches in existence—one for each of the Colonel’s legendary 11 herbs and spices.
So, how do you score one? Starting Saturday, 14 December, KFC will release one watch daily at 11:11am until Christmas Eve. If you’re quick enough (and lucky enough), you can grab it from KFC’s online store—for the grand price of absolutely nothing.
