DJI has introduced Goggles N3, an affordable FPV headset designed for immersive drone flights within a 'virtual cockpit.' Currently compatible with the DJI Neo and Avata 2, these new goggles offer a 54-degree field of view and up to 2.7 hours of flight time, according to DJI.
The Goggles N3 enables head tracking for camera movement when used with the RC Motion 3. With the goggles, you can tilt your head or make a quick wrist motion to execute aerial manoeuvres like 360-degree flips and rolls. Additionally, a one-touch defogging feature activates an internal fan to keep your view clear, even in changing temperatures or humid conditions.
It features an HD 1080p display with a 54-degree field of view. Equipped with DJI’s O4 transmission system, they deliver live video feeds at 1080p/60fps with an average latency of 31ms, according to DJI. The goggles automatically switch between 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz frequencies, providing a maximum range of up to 13km.
Another standout feature is the ability to share your flight view in real-time. Connect the goggles to your smartphone via USB-C, and others can watch your flight live through the DJI Fly App. The integrated battery in the headset powers the goggles for up to 2.7 hours. The Goggles N3 are priced at $229 (approx ₹19,000).
