Google Pixel 8a launched in India for ₹52,999

Powered by Tensor G3 SoC and seven years of software support!

Hot on the heels of Apple's iPad Pro and iPad Air debut, Google has unveiled its highly anticipated Pixel 8a. This mid-range smartphone comes packed with "premium AI features" and promises an impressive seven years of software support, all starting at ₹52,999.

Just like its Pixel 8 siblings, the new smartphone runs on the Tensor G3 SoC, enabling AI experiences such as Google Circle to Search, Best Take, Magic Editor, and Audio Magic Eraser. The phone has a 6.1-inch 120Hz Actua display.

The Pixel 8a comes with Android 14 OS out-of-the-box. Its matte composite back and aluminium frame give it a sleek look, and its IP67 is rated for water and dust resistance. Google claims the Pixel 8a is its most durable A-Series device yet, featuring a metal frame and camera bar.

Its camera setup includes a 64 MP primary sensor, a 13 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 13 MP selfie camera, all capable of recording 4K videos. For connectivity, it supports dual SIM with 5G, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and Wi-Fi 6. The Pixel 8a is available in four colours – Aloe, Bay, Obsidian, and Porcelain, and offers two storage options – 128 GB and 256 GB. Pre-orders start on May 7, with the smartphone hitting shelves on May 14.
