Google Pixel Fold: Everything we know so far

Consolidating the rumours for you…

Well folks, it's official! The Google Pixel Fold has been leaked faster than a balloon with a hole in it, and it seems to have some seriously chunky bezels that even Microsoft would be jealous of. Since another couple of weeks was just too long to wait, these new leaks follow some fancy design renders leaked in 2022 and a juicy scoop from CNBC that spilt the beans on the Pixel Fold's specs, pricing, and even a free Pixel Watch for preorders.

According to the leakster Jon Prosser, the Pixel Fold will set you back a whopping $1,799 (₹1.47lakh approx.) for the 256GB version in Chalk and Obsidian colours, while the 512GB model will cost $1,919 (₹1.57 lakh approx.) and only come in Obsidian. But hey, at least you'll get 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, a 5.8in Full HD+ OLED outer display, and a 7.6in internal OLED folding display that both run at 120 Hz.

As for the camera, it's somewhere in between the Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel 7 with a triple-lens setup featuring a 48 MP main sensor, a 10.8MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, and a 10.8 MP ultrawide lens with a 121.1-degree field of view. There's also a 9.5 MP front-facing selfie camera and an 8MP inner selfie camera.

But let's not forget the pièce de résistance: those bezels. Kuba Wojciechowski's video leak shows them off in all their chunky glory, making the Pixel Fold look like a throwback to the early 2000s. But fear not, Google will still unveil the Pixel Fold, alongside the Pixel 7a and Pixel Tablet at Google I/O on May 10th (we pray!). Get ready to whip out your wallets and say goodbye to those bezels!
