Haier is making a splash in the premium TV space in India with the launch of two new OLED television series, the Haier C90 and Haier C95. These locally manufactured sets promise that glorious picture quality OLED is known for; think perfect blacks, popping colours, and superb contrast, wrapped up in a sleek, modern design aimed squarely at discerning Indian homes.
The key difference between the two seems to lie mainly in screen sizes and a few performance bumps. The Haier C90 OLED comes in 55-inch, 65-inch, and a whopping 77-inch option, while the Haier C95 OLED is available in 55-inch and 65-inch sizes. Both ranges boast an ultra-slim profile with a barely-there metal bezel-less frame and sit on a premium metal swivel stand, allowing for flexible tilting. Picture purists will appreciate support for both HDR10+ and Dolby Vision IQ, ensuring optimised brightness and contrast regardless of your room's lighting conditions. MEMC tech is also on board to keep fast-moving action smooth.
Under the hood, both series run Google TV for a familiar smart interface, controllable via hands-free voice control. They pack 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, along with speedy Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity. Handy features include Chromecast built-in, Haier's own HAICAST, and Bluetooth Sound Cast to beam audio from your phone to the TV's speakers. Even the remote is smart, featuring solar charging alongside a USB-C port.
Sound-wise, both ranges feature a 2.1 channel speaker system with Dolby Atmos support. The C95 series gets extra audio credentials thanks to tuning by Harman Kardon. The standard models feature a 50-watt sound system, while the larger 77-inch C90 gets a boost to 65 watts.
Gamers haven't been forgotten either - the C95 models boast a speedy 144Hz refresh rate, VRR, and ALLM, while the C90 models offer a still-smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Both support AMD FreeSync Premium to combat screen tearing.
The Haier C90 OLED range starts at Rs 1,29,990, and the Haier C95 OLED series starts at Rs 1,56,990. They're available now via Haier's website, major electronic stores, e-commerce platforms, and offline retailers across India.
