We have seen smartwatches measuring heart-rates, oxygen levels, and even your snoring. Now, Huawei has the Watch D, which will measure your blood pressure levels on the go.
The Watch D uses Huawei TruBP, which is said to use micro air pumps and airbags, an integrated high-precision pressure sensor, a pressure feedback control circuit, and a low flow resistance gas path to get your blood pressure levels. Huawei claims the smartwatch is able to get measurements with an error margin of ± 3mmHg.
The watch is also able to take an ECG using TruSeen 5.0+ tech, which employs eight circular photoelectric sensors, and PVD-coated electrodes to achieve accurate results. It is said to detect risks like Atherosclerosis, Arrhythmia, and Sleep Apnea.
Feature-wise you get a 1.64in AMOLED touchscreen with 456x280 pixels resolution, and a battery that is claimed to last up to seven days on a single charge. It is built using an aluminum alloy case, and has IP68 certification for dust and water resistance.
The Huawei Watch D has launched in China, and is priced at ¥2,988 (approx ₹35,000). There’s no word on an international launch yet.
