Acer has expanded its Swift series with the new Swift Air 16 (SFA16-61M), a thin-and-light laptop that tips the scales at under a kilogram. Built from a magnesium-aluminium alloy, the device runs on the latest AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series processors, with configurations available up to the Ryzen AI 7 350. This setup is designed to handle local AI tasks efficiently, delivering faster responses while keeping power use in check, as per Acer.
As part of Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC lineup, the Swift Air 16 also supports AI-driven features like Recall, Click to Do, and an enhanced Windows Search. Alongside these, Acer promises quick startup times, reliable storage, and smooth multitasking across demanding workloads.
The Swift Air 16 gives users a choice between two display options – a 16-inch WQXGA+ AMOLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate for sharper visuals, or a WUXGA IPS screen at 60 Hz, both with a 16:10 aspect ratio for more vertical workspace. On the front, a 2MP FHD IR camera with a privacy shutter handles video calls, backed by dual microphones and dual speakers for clear audio.
For connectivity, the laptop is equipped with two full-function USB Type-C ports, a USB 3.2 Type-A, and HDMI 1.4 with HDCP support, covering both peripherals and external displays. On the wireless side, it supports Wi-Fi 6E and the latest Bluetooth, ensuring fast, stable links for work and streaming.
The Acer Swift Air 16 starts at EUR 999 (approx. Rs. 1,03,015).
