Hot on the heels of the AMD Ryzen 7000 series processor, Intel has officially pulled back the curtain on the latest desktop processors. The top dog processor is the Intel 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900K which is touted to run at overclocked speeds of up to 5.8 GHz. Ya! That’s some processing grunt for gamers, creators and streamers.
The 13th Gen offers up to 24 cores (8 Performance cores, 16 Efficiency cores) and 32 threads. Intel didn’t show any benchmarks but Intel says it offers 15% better single-thread performance and up to 41% better multi-threaded performance. This along with Intel’s Speed Optimizer for one-click overclocking, backwards compatibility with DDR4 and DDR5 RAM and of course, Intel Dynamic Memory Boost for overclocking the RAM is all set to make the K version of the desktop processors as overclocking-friendly as possible.
There’s no word on pricing and availability in India but fingers crossed for a quick launch.
