iQOO Neo 9 series to have two-colour scheme with distinct finishes

A look at specs before the launch?

Dear smartphone enthusiasts, did you catch wind of the buzz around the specs of the soon-to-be-released iQOO Neo 9 Pro and the regular iQOO Neo 9? The specs are making rounds online before their launch later this month!

As hinted in a Weibo teaser, the upcoming lineup's design is expected to showcase two circular modules for the rear cameras. The highlight of the design will feature a two-colour scheme with distinct finishes. Approximately one-third of the panel will sport a white woven fabric, while the remaining two-thirds will exhibit a red-coloured section with a leather-like finish.

According to the grapevine, the pro version might have a 6.78-inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Turning the phone around, rumours suggest a camera setup featuring a 50MP Sony IMX920 main sensor supported by Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), accompanied by another 50MP ultra wide lens. On the selfie front, expect a 16MP camera.

Under the hood, it's speculated to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC, possibly coupled with a Mali-G720 Immortalis MP12 GPU and a Q1 gaming chip as a dedicated engine for gamers. The Neo 9 Pro might come equipped with Android 14-based OriginOS (for China) or FunTouchOS (for global markets, including India).

The smartphone is expected to have a 5,000mAh battery with a 120W fast charging capability. Additionally, the ensemble might include an under-the-display fingerprint sensor and an IR blaster for added functionality. Meanwhile, the iQOO Neo 9 is anticipated to debut with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, likely sharing similar software and many other features with its Pro counterpart.
