In the ever-expanding galaxy of smartphones, well, there is a new one – the iQOO Z9 5G! Remember, we reviewed the iQOO Neo 9 Pro recently. The iQOO Z9 is the brand's latest addition to its Z series, a more wallet-friendly choice. The smartphone is priced at ₹19,999 and comes in Brushed Green and Graphene Blue. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 5G SoC, 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and an Arm Mali-G610 GPU, and runs on Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14.
The iQoo Z9 5G packs a 6.67-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate — plenty great for watching cat videos and browsing the web. Plus, the display offers a 91 percent screen-to-body ratio, 1800 nits peak brightness, 300Hz touch sampling rate and DT-Star 2 Plus glass protection.
The smartphone has a dual rear camera setup housing a 50-megapixel Sony IMX88 primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and f/1.79 aperture, accompanied by a 2-megapixel Bokeh shooter with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, it has a 16-megapixel front camera.
The iQOO Z9 5G comes equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging. According to iQOO, this battery can provide over 67 hours of music playback time and up to 17 hours of YouTube video playback time on a single charge. The flash charging tech is claimed to fill the battery from zero to 50 per cent in around 30 minutes.
Additionally, the iQOO Z9 5G provides up to 256GB of UFS 3.0 internal storage, expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card. The Extended RAM feature allows the onboard memory to be expanded up to 16GB. The starting price of the iQOO Z9 5G is ₹19,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model, while the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at ₹21,999.
