It’s official, PlayStation VR2 will work with PC games using an adapter starting August 7

Domain expansion!

Starting August 7th, you'll be able to crack open a treasure chest of PC VR games through SteamVR, thanks to the new PlayStation VR2 PC adapter. This nifty little gizmo (priced at a cool $59.99) unlocks thousands of SteamVR titles, letting you expand your library beyond the unimpressive PS5 lineup. Think Half-Life: Alyx, Fallout 4 VR, and a ton more – all playable on your PS VR2 headset.

Here's the catch: to join the PC party, you'll need a few extra things. Grab a DisplayPort 1.4 cable (not included), make sure you have a Steam account, and most importantly, a PC that can handle the VR brawls. We're talking at least an Intel Core i5-7600 processor, 8GB of RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card (or its AMD equivalent). Setting it all up is a breeze. Just connect the PS VR2 to your PC with the adapter and cable, download the PlayStation VR2 App and SteamVR App, and boom – you're ready to dive in.

Now, there's a slight wrinkle. While the PS VR2 experience is pure magic on PS5, some of its coolest features like fancy eye-tracking, HDR, headset feedback, and those awesome adaptive triggers won't work on PC. But hey, you'll still get stunning 4K visuals, a super wide field of view, and killer features like 3D Audio.

At the time of writing the PS VR2 adapter has not been announced for India but we’ll keep you updated when that happens.
