Kia AI assistant lets you engage in natural conversation with your Kia car

It is now available to customers across Europe—here’s hoping it enters India soon!

Kia has rolled out its AI-powered voice assistant in Europe, following its debut in Korea and the US last year. The system lets you ask about vehicle features, plan routes, play music, or get general info using natural, conversational language. It’s designed to understand intent and context, making interactions smoother and more intuitive, according to Kia.

Kia says its AI Assistant is getting smarter, with improved intelligence and a better grasp of user intent. Built to handle voice commands in a natural, conversational way, it’s designed to understand context—so the more detail you give, the more precise and helpful the response.

Drivers can use the assistant for a variety of tasks, like learning how specific car features work in real-world scenarios (say, heavy traffic), adjusting the cabin temperature, planning out activities, or asking for music based on mood. It can also suggest restaurants or nearby points of interest, and handle general information searches on the go.

You can summon the AI Assistant by tapping the steering wheel button or simply saying “Hey Kia.” Continuous over‑the‑air updates via the ccNC platform sharpen its intelligence and introduce new features. The OTA also enables the upgrading of Kia's voice recognition system to the latest AI Assistant for EV3s through the connected car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) system. This guarantees that users have access to the most current features and enhancements.
