LG revealed its transparent OLED at CES last year, offering the world a peek into what’s next. Now, the brand is gearing up for the global launch of the 77-inch LG Signature OLED T— a 4K TV that’s transparent, wireless, and unlike anything you’ve seen before.
The OLED T’s self-lit screen lets you toggle between transparent and opaque modes at the press of a button. LG says the television creates the illusion of content floating mid-air, blending visuals with the surrounding space for a striking effect.
At its core is LG’s top-notch Alpha 11 AI processor, paired with the company’s true wireless video and audio transmission tech. The display supports 4K resolution at a 120Hz variable refresh rate, is Nvidia G-Sync compatible, and includes AMD FreeSync Premium for smooth, tear-free gaming performance. Using the proprietary Zero Connect Box, it delivers visually lossless 4K video and audio without latency, as per LG.
The LG OLED T enhances the experience with features like T-Objet, an Always-On-Display mode that turns the screen into a transparent canvas for displaying artwork, videos, or photos. Adding to this is T-Bar, an info-ticker at the screen's bottom edge for updates like sports scores, IoT statuses, weather, or song titles while keeping the rest of the display clear. T-Home provides an intuitive interface for quick access to apps, settings, and available services.
The model will be available in the US soon, with additional markets to follow. No word on the Indian launch at the time of writing.
