The Mahindra Thar Roxx is five doors of rugged all-terrain dominance

Prices for the Thar Roxx start at Rs. 12,99,000 for the petrol variant

Mahindra has finally revealed the all-new and much anticipated five-door Thar Roxx. With a longer wheel base and more comfortable seating at the back, the Mahindra Thar Roxx promises a more practical SUV experience, without compromising on the rugged and off-road-friendly nature of the original Thar concept. The new Thar has been unveiled ahead of Independence Day in India, and is priced at Rs. 12,99,000 onwards for the petrol variants, and Rs. 13,99,000 onwards for the diesel powertrain.

The base MX1 variant of the Thar Roxx has been announced ahead of the official launch on August 15, which comes with various features that Mahindra pitches as premium from the get-go. You get LED projector headlamps, 18-inch steel wheels, a touchscreen infotainment system with a 28.03cm screen, push-button start, six airbags, and a brake locking differential even on the base variant. The petrol manual transmission option delivers 119kW of power and 330NM of torque, with the diesel delivering 111.9kW and 330NM.

Inside the cabin, you get twin HD screens, for the infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. There's also a Harman Kardon audio system, a panoramic sunroof, and leatherette dashboard and door trims. There will be more announcements regarding the Thar Roxx in the coming days, as Mahindra reveals information on other variants and trims.
