Max soundbar in Mini form

Polk Audio refreshes the MagniFi

If you love your eyes as much as your ears, you’d ideally want to unseen the speakers. But until you get Dr. Strange , as your new tenant, Polk Audio is here to help. Its Magnify Mini isn't exactly new, but it does get a new AX suffix to indicate an overhaul. It stands for, you guessed it, Dolby Atmos! With a total of five drivers in the soundbar, augmented by a wireless subwoofer, Polk Audio claims to offer an immersive listening experience from a speaker that is smaller than most smartphones these days (if your smartphone is a tablet).

Besides supporting both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, the Magnify Mini AX also gets Polks own SDA 3D audio tech which can create a pseudo immersive effect even from a two-channel stereo signal. Guess we’ll have to test it out ourselves to bring you the full report.

Polk Audio has also included family-friendly modes like Night mode which limits the dynamics so you don’t accidentally wake up dogs or infants and a VoiceAdjust feature that lets you increase the clarity of voices. All this and the usual HDMI eARC, optical and 3.5mm inputs, along with Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify and Chromecast wireless support. The Indian representatives of the brand, Cinebels should be bringing this soon so watch this space!
