As the festive season kicks into high gear, Mercedes-Benz is rolling out a treat for car enthusiasts with the launch of two new models – the brand new GLE luxury SUV and the high-performance AMG C 43 4Matic sedan. There are three variants for the GLE — GLE 300D 4Matic for a price of ₹96,40,000, the GLE 450 4Matic priced for ₹1,10,00,000, and if you've got your eye on the best of the lot, there is GLE 450D 4Matic, it'll cost you ₹1,15,00,000. On the outside, the new GLE is flaunting its fresh look with a revamped front, featuring sleeker LED headlamps, a single slat grille, redesigned alloy wheels, and a rear bumper makeover, complete with LED taillights. It still has that signature silhouette, complete with practical roof rails and side steps.
Stepping inside the GLE facelift is packed with upgrades, including a new steering wheel borrowed from the S-Class, the latest MBUX system that offers wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, revamped aircon vents, a four-zone climate control system, and mood-enhancing ambient lighting. Plus, you also get features like a wireless charger, front and rear seats that adjust at your command, ventilated and power-packed front seats with a massage function, a 360-degree surround camera, a transparent bonnet function, electric sun blinds, and a panoramic sunroof to soak up the view. And, you can choose from three different upholstery options and even opt for the off-road package.
Under the hood, the new Mercedes GLE gives you a trio of powertrain choices. There's a 2.0-litre diesel, a 3.0-litre diesel, and a 3.0-litre petrol motor to pick from. The four-cylinder petrol engine cranks out 265bhp and 550Nm, while the six-cylinder powerhouses push the boundaries with 362bhp/750Nm and 375bhp/500Nm. And to make sure you get that power to the ground, all these engines team up with an eight-speed automatic transmission and the 4Matic AWD technology, as standard.
