Miniot Wheel 3 turntable plays the records vertically

Because being on top is yesterday’s story!

Miniot looks to be aiming for a triumph with the Wheel 3, a turntable that plays records both vertically and horizontally. Whether you prop it upright, lay it flat on a table, or mount it on a wall, the Wheel 3 can play your records any way you like.

Inside its handcrafted chassis lies a reimagined setup. A new optical stylus, which Miniot claims will “blow away anything you’ve heard before,” sits at the centre of the experience. Complementing it is a custom-built high-end amplifier and a redesigned linear tonearm that glides across your spinning vinyl.

Powering it is an axial flux direct-drive motor, made in-house, with optical speed control. The upgraded tonearm itself is quiet, geometrically refined, and crafted for absolute fidelity, as per Miniot. The Wheel 3 retains its signature touch with a volume and playback slider embedded into the rim near the dimmable display, offering digital control over your analogue listening experience.

Design-wise, the updated silhouette is slimmer and more unified, though some may find its minimalism a touch more clinical than cosy. The chassis is split into two elements – a polished aluminium unibody front and a solid composite rear. For those craving a nod to Miniot’s more natural heritage, the Wheel 3 Special Edition swaps the composite back for a warm, solid wood finish—a tactile callback to the brand’s artisanal ethos.

Expect to pay a premium for this sculptural spinner – the Wheel 3 comes in at Rs. 2,87,600.
