Infinix has showcased two intriguing concepts—SolarEnergy-Reserving Tech, a smart way to stretch battery life using ambient light, and E-Color Shift 2.0, an AI-driven feature that tweaks your phone’s look on the fly.
The concept phone features a built-in solar panel on its back, tapping into Infinix’s SolarEnergy-Reserving tech. Instead of the usual silicon panels, it uses perovskite solar cells—thinner, cheaper, and easier to manufacture, making solar charging more practical, as per the brand.
Infinix’s SolarEnergy-Reserving Tech blends perovskite photovoltaic technology with AI smarts to harness and store solar energy efficiently. Designed as a prototype smartphone and case, it works even in low-light conditions, keeping your device powered up.
The AI-driven system fine-tunes power collection in real time, maximising energy transfer through discreet contact points. The case can store up to 2W of energy, for a steady trickle of extra juice when needed.
Infinix’s E-Color Shift 2.0 takes colour-changing back covers to the next level, boosting colour depth and segmentation for more customisable designs. Users get six patterns and six colour templates, creating up to 30 unique combos. AI tweaks the colours based on weather, wallpapers, and surroundings. It also supports animated shifts for charging, calls, and notifications.
