Amazon has launched its latest version of the Fire TV Stick 4K in India for Rs. 5,999. The new version, stated by the company to be around 30 percent more powerful than the previous generation Fire TV Stick 4K, features support for various HDR formats including Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and Dolby Atmos. The streaming device, which connects directly into your HDMI port on your television and stays comfortably hidden right behind, continues to offer access to various streaming services and apps, supporting streaming at up to Ultra-HD resolution on various televisions.
The new Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K is up for pre-order on Amazon.in already, and will ship on May 13. You can also pick it up offline at Reliance Digital, Croma, and Vijay Sales stores across India from May 13.
Similar to the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max which was launched globally a few months ago, the new Fire TV Stick 4K supports Wi-Fi 6 compatible routers, along with 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless bands. It's powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core processor, which is likely tuned to drive more performance as compared to the previous-generation Fire TV Stick 4K. Of course, you also get the Alexa voice remote, which lets you control the device with voice commands.
Of course, you also get access to over 12,000 apps, including popular options such as Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, Apple TV, and more. Prime Video is naturally present, and the Fire TV operating system nicely integrates Amazon's own streaming service along with others into the UI. USers will also be happy to know that the new Fire TV Stick 4K has a low-power mode for reduced power consumption when the connected device goes into standby.
