Next-gen BMW 7 Series launched in ICE, Plug-in and EV variants

Theatre on wheels

Keeping up with the German tradition of rubbing pie on your host's face, BMW has just spoiled the S-Class’ party with the next-gen 7-series by doing a one-up in the technology round. To rub it further in the competition's face, BMW has enlarged the already controversial kidneys even further and just so you don’t miss it, added illumination to them!
Although the new split headlamp treatment does work well to scatter your hate and turn into confusion, there’s no denying the road presence the new 7-series has. Regardless of iteration, the grille size remains identical, but subtle differences in bumper, aerodynamics and finishes will help you tell the M760e xDrive from the i7 xDrive 60.

Built on an all-new 5th gen BMW eDrive platform, the new 7 series uses a massive 101.7kWh battery with DC fast charging capable of giving you a 170km range with just a 10-minute top-up charge at 195kW. Automatic doors are operated from a button both inside and out and once inside, the dash gets the innovative interactive bar that works as an ambient lighting strip with concealed air vents, a new steering wheel design and a 31in 8K resolution BMW Theatre Screen for the back seat.
Controlled by individual 5.5in displays embedded in each rear door handle, you can control seat recline angle, massage, Sky lounge panoramic sunroof light colour or of course, fire up your favourite show on the Theatre screen. With built-in Amazon FireTV and 5G cellular connectivity, you may not want to exit the car even after you’ve reached your destination!
