Nothing Phone (2) will have a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor

Phone (1) is a thing of the past

If you were a fan of the Nothing Phone (1), brace yourself for some big changes! Carl Pei, the CEO of Nothing, spilt the beans on the upcoming Nothing Phone (2). It's going to be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1! Move over Phone (1), there may be a new sheriff in town (coming soon).

According to Carl Pei's recent tweet, Phone (2) will have the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 which is an old flagship processor but that means the Phone (2) will be reasonably priced fingers crossed. Based on our other smartphone reviews we know that the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 will bring improvements over the Phone (1)’s Snapdragon 778G+. These include better battery life, stronger network connectivity and an enhanced camera experience. The Image Signal Processor on this bad boy will capture over 4,000 times more data than the old model. Say cheese to advanced features like Raw HDR and 4K video recording at 30fps.

The Nothing Phone (2) is even getting satellite connectivity. Although, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 doesn't support it by default. So, it looks like Carl Pei's team has tinkered with the chipset to make it satellite-ready.

The exact date and launch is still anyone’s guess but it's going to happen soon. You can sign up for the event now to be the first in the know when it finally does launch later this summer. Brace yourselves for a performance leap that may leave Phone (1) in the dust. Nothing looks better than before!
