OnePlus 12 launched in China with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and triple camera setup

After much anticipation and a plethora of leaked details, the OnePlus 12 has officially debuted in the China market. And the buzz is, it's gearing up to hop on a global tour soon, with India pegged for an early visit next year.

The smartphone comes in green, black, and white colours, kicking off at a starting price of CNY 4,299 (about ₹50,600) for the base model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. There's a 16GB RAM + 512GB storage version at CNY 4,799 (around ₹56,500). And for those who want more, there are two beefed-up variants – 16GB RAM + 1TB storage for CNY 5,299 (roughly ₹62,400) and a 24GB RAM + 1TB storage option priced for CNY 5,799 (about ₹68,200).

The OnePlus 12 is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile chipset, promising speedier Kryo CPU performance, a 30% improvement and a 25% boost in GPU speeds, all while being 10% more power-efficient, as per OnePlus. Under the hood, it's got LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 ROM, and a new 120Hz 2K Super Fluid AMOLED display with 4500 nits of brightness. It's also equipped with 100W SuperVooc wired charging, a 50W AirVooc wireless charging option, all powered by a 5400 mAh dual-cell battery.

Backed by the 4th Gen Hasselblad Camera for Mobile, the OnePlus 12 features the latest proprietary HDR algorithm that, as per OnePlus, helps to capture the subtle intricacies of highlights and shadows. The triple camera setup comprises a 50MP main camera, a 64MP 3X periscope telephoto camera for some zoom action, and a 48MP ultra-wide camera to capture expansive vistas.
