Oppo India announces IF Photography Awards 2024 for mobile photography

The Indian edition has been announced alongside the global launch of the Oppo Find X7 Ultra smartphone.

Oppo India has announced the IF Photography Awards 2024 at the Oppo Find Ambassador's Conclave in Mumbai. The IF Photography Awards 2024 is a photography awards program that focuses on mobile photography. The awards have been announced alongside the global launch of the Oppo Find X7 Ultra, which is being touted as the company's most advanced camera-focused smartphone yet. The awards, meant for mobile photography enthusiasts and professionals alike, is now open for entries across various categories on the official web page for the competition.

The IF Photography Awards took place globally in 2023 for the first time, with the competition focusing on India for the 2024 edition. Submissions by participants can take place till June 15, and will be judged by a jury comprising of top photographers, while the ambassador for the awards has also been announced; reputed film director SS Rajamouli, who shot to global fame with his blockbuster film RRR, is the ambassador for the IF Photography Awards 2024.

A total of 50 winners will progress to the second phase of the competition, and the final six winners will be announced on July 25. There are cash prizes for the final six winners, along with the Oppo Find X7 ultra as a prize for all six. 

The competition has been conceptualised to promote mobile photography as a whole, particularly with Oppo announcing the Find X7 Ultra globally. The new smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, and features a quad-camera setup at the rear developed in collaboration with Hasselblad, which promises professional-grade photography capabilities on the mobile device.
